Our Countries of the World – Base Knowledge Atlas is a visually structured, curated by a human, comprehensive index of – and ‘discover within the big picture context, minimal click’ portal to – over 9,100 of the ‘core’ official / definitive / ‘plain old useful’, public domain, general and geographic knowledge resources about each of the 249 ISO3166-1 defined ‘Countries & Territories of the World’, and the UN Geoscheme (M49 standard) defined Macro Geographic Regions and Sub / Intermediary Regions within which they sit. These multiple resource hyperlinks are just one of the rich mix of contextual, visual knowledge elements embedded within, or attached to, a map branch for each individual Region and Country, which collectively form a rich, visual framework of knowledge seed branches and sub-branches.
This fully interactive MindManger / HTML digital knowledge map is an invaluable ‘thumb & brain friendly’ desktop (or even ‘in the field’) research tool that will enable you to spend less of your valuable time getting lost down internet search rabbit holes so you can spend more of it actually assimilating & applying the world’s core knowledgebases about the countries and regions of this big old beautiful world of ours for the benefit of your own personal projects and / or those of the teams, organisations & communities of which you are part.
For us it’s also the base visual knowledge framework for all our ‘countries of the world atlas’ knowledge maps. The Region and Country seed branches provide a general and geographic knowledge rich core upon which to ‘build out’ collections of dedicated sub-branch links to knowledge resources focused on specific subject areas / users, such as International Travellers or those interested in International Trade, Aid and Sustainable Development (and no doubt many more in the future).
Likewise for MindManager users it can be a starting point for you to build out your own ‘country-based’ knowledge maps to support your own projects (but look at the rest of our catalogue first so you don’t re-invent the wheel, or we’d be happy to create bespoke maps for you to save you the effort :-).
